The person behind the whole culinary story is a master chef extraordinaire, Slavica Smrdel, who is in charge of Central Hotel's kitchen. Her aim is to presents the guests with a unique culinary story based on simplicity and tradition handed down by older generations. Contrary to many popular contemporary chefs, Slavica swears by tradition with seasonal and local basics and flavours that are not mixed more than absolutely necessary, but are in step with modern cuisine. She is a master chef known for her perfectionism and love of exploring, selecting and considering each factor that affects the final product created by her. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that even the weather forecast and the anticipated people's mood play a role in what makes it into her weekly menus.
