The Triple Bridge

On the same spot where the Ljubljanica river had been crossed in the middle age, the stone central of the three bridges forming the Triple Bridge, the so-called Spittal Bridge was built in 1842. The Triple Bridge is an architectural masterpiece designed by a renowned architect Jože Plečnik, which was built between 1929 and 1932. The unique and picturesque architecture of the Triple Bridge, which connects Prešeren Square and the old city centre, is Ljubljana’s attraction you simply cannot miss. Take time for a drink in the nearby Tromostovje Café, located in Prešeren Square and enjoy the view.
