On 9th of February Grand Hotel Union and Festival Ljubljana hosted one of the most prestigious philharmonic orchestra in the whole wide world – London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. They presented to the audience with Beethoven’s program at the majestic Grand Hotel Union Hall.
The Grand Hotel Union was built between 1903 and 1905 after design plans by Josip Vancaš, as Ljubljana’s first modern hotel. Back than, it was the city’s largest building, measuring almost 100 meters long and was considered as a great technological achievement.
Hotel Lev’s so-called public areas were next in line for a complete refurbishment – lobby bar, the breakfast room and gym located in the mezzanine of the hotel.

Zdravko Perić is the new Head Chef of Grand Hotel Union’s kitchen, which will feature culinary masterpieces largely inspired by the Mediterranean.
