Every December, the Christmas Fair in Ljubljana’s Old Town becomes the centre of all action and socialising in Ljubljana. In the little, festively decorated stalls, designed especially for the market, visitors can buy a wide variety of assorted products suitable for gifts. The food-and-beverage stalls offering mulled wines, warm tea, liqueurs, as well as sausages, grilled dishes and other kinds of food have been the centre of the “Merry December in the Old Town of Ljubljana” for years. In addition to a multitude of products related to the festive season, the Christmas Market also offers all sorts of interesting and affordable products made by young designers, which are often not available in shops, as well as assorted arts and crafts goods and Slovenian delicacies, such as honey, spirits, and various sweet treats.
